Species marked with an asterisk ( * ) are exceptionally colorful or interesting and are worth the download time. These photos accurately represent the appearance and size of my specimens.

Viewers continually compliment us on the vibrant and dramatic colors and fine physical condition of our animals, and also for the fact that they are active, alert, and responsive to the viewers.

 SNAKES

Boa Constrictor (Constrictor c. constrictor). 9 feet. Large, impressive, and attractively marked. Bred and Born in Madison WI., Age of Reptiles produces the handsomest Columbian Red-Tail Boas in Wisconsin (above).

Mexican Rosy Boa (Lichanura t. trivirgata). Shown below. Bold Black and Tan Stripes. 3 ft.

Baja Rosy Boa (L.t. myriolepsis). 3 ft. Bold Orange and Gray Stripes.

Rough-Scaled Sand Boa (Eryx conicus). 3 ft.

Eastern Garter Snake (Thamnophis s. sirtalis). 2 ft. Wisconsins most commonly encountered reptile.

Northern Water Snake  (Nerodia s. sipedon). 3 ft.  Wisconsins "Cottonmouth" lookalike.

Western Hognosed Snake (Heterodon n. nasicus). 2 ft. Cute and chubby!

Cribo (Drymarchon corais). 6 ft. Iridescent Jet-Black with Red Markings. These are magnificent!

Texas  Ratsnake* (Elaphe obsoleta lindheimeri). Leucistic (Pure patternless white with blue eyes). Spectacular! 5 ft.

Black Ratsnake (E. o. obsoleta). 5 ft. Amelanistic. Wisconsins Largest Ratsnake.

Western Fox Snake (E. v. vulpina) 4 ft. Straw-yellow with Dark Brown Spots. Wisconsins most common large snake.

Red Ratsnake* (E. g. gutatta). 4 Color Phases; Okeetee, Amelanistic (shown above), Anerythristic, Snow. 4 ft. A very colorful Display!

California Kingsnake* (Lampropeltis getula californiae). 4 ft. Four color/pattern phases; Desert Phase-Banded, Coastal Phase-Striped and Banded, Amelanistic, All boldly marked in Black, White, and Yellow.

Gray Banded Kingsnake* (L. alterna). 3 ft. Bright orange, black and ash grey.

Honduran Milksnake* (L. triangulum hondurensis). 3 ft. Boldly-Patterned with tangerine, maroon, and black bands.

Pueblan Milksnake* (L. t. campelli). 3 ft. Three Phases; Normal, Apricot, and Sockhead. Coral Snake look-alike.

Northern Pine Snake (Pituophis m. melanoleucus). 6 ft. Normal and Amelanistic. Boldly patterned and impressive.

Bullsnake (P.m. sayi). 6 ft. Three Phases; Normal, Amelanistic*, Hypomelanistic. Large, impressive, and colorful. Wisconsins Largest Snake.

Sonoran Gopher Snake (P. m. affinis). Amelanistic*- 5 ft. Bright yellow with cranberry and orange markings. Gorgeous!

 

LIZARDS

Cape Monitor* (Varanus albigularis) 3 ft. Dynamic and Dinosaur-like. Resembles the Komodo Dragon, the largest of the Monitors.

Argus Monitor (V. gouldi horni). 3 ft. Resembles Velociraptor, with large feet and talons.

Jeweled Lacerta* (Lacerta lepida). 20 in. Active and alert. Bright yellow with black and royal blue spots.

Inland Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps). 20 in. Cute and friendly-looks just like Ed!

Plumed Basilisk (Basilicus plumifrons). 20 in. Bright green and runs on hind legs.

Northern Blue Tongued Skink* (Tiliqua scincoides). 24 in. Docile and Friendly

Pakistan Leopard Gecko (Eublepharus macularus). 8 in. Cute and freindly.

Madagascan Day Gecko* (Phelsuma g. grandis). 8 in. Bright green and red with velcro feet.

Veiled Chameleon (Chameleo calyptratus). 12 in. The Budweiser Lizard. Mondo Bizarro swivel-eyed  bug zappers.

 

TURTLES and TORTOISES

Sizes refer to carapace (shell) length only.

Redfooted Tortoise* (Geochelone carbonaria). 12 in. Jet black with red and yellow markings. 

Argentine Tortoise (G. chilensis). 8 in. Black and tan with sculpted shell. Resembles Desert Tortoises.

Greek Tortoise (Testudo graeca). 10 in. All of the tortoises are friendly, responsive, and like to be fed.

Hermanns Tortoise (Testudo hermanni). 10 in. Gold and Black-Similar to Above.

Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene c. carolina). 5 in.

Three-toed Box Turtle (Terrapene c. triunguis). 5 in.

Florida Box Turtle (T. c. bauri). 5 in.

Gulf Coast Box Turtle (T. c. major). 5in.

Razor Backed Musk Turtle (Sternotherus carinatus). 5 in.

Common Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina) 12 in.

Alligator Snapping Turtle* (Macroclemys temmincki). 12 in.

Spiny Softshell Turtles* (Trionyx spinifer) cute hatchlings

Western Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta belli) cute hatchling.
