My present passion is flyfishing. I actually got back into flyfishing to go after bluegills. Unfortunately the bluegill population here on the Mississippi is down. I then found I was living next to a hidden treasury of trout fishing. I believe in giving back to what I take of so I have joined Trout Unlimited, the Dubuque Flyfishers, and Hawkeye Flyfishers. I also have done some stream work on the West Fork of the Kickapoo. The West Fork Sportsman's Club  has really done a great job with this stream and getting others to contribute. There is a TU watershed project going on there right now that is quite extensive.

Most of my trout fishing has been in SW WI. We have some great spring creeks here. Many have self sustaining brown trout populations. I have also fished the Cache la Poudre River in Colorado along with a number of the lakes in that area, The North Shore of Lake Superior for trout in lakes, Iowa trout streams particularly in the winter and at our clubs spring trout outing, and SE Minnesota's trout streams, and recently the Black Hills.

I have also fished northern, walleye, and cisco in Cormorant Lake in northern Manitoba and smallmouth bass in local streams and on the north shore of Lake Superior.
