A Natural Woman
Mary Harycki
I always wear natural scents:
Peach Melba Moisture Frappe,
Green Tomato Gritty Skin Scrubber,
and Red Radish Cheek Glow.
Sweet odors follow wherever I go:
Clover Blossom Elbow Greaser,
Honeysuckle Hair Unsnaggler,
Lemon Skin Pepper Powder,
and Black Raspberry Slipstick.
Softly, I insinuate
Orchid Blossom Hair Repair,
Invigorating Anise Feminine Splash,
Water Lily Deep Down Pore Declogger,
and All-Day Blueberry Protein Breathspray.
I waft clouds of
Wild Geranium Ecological Underarm Descenter,
Cinnamon and Nutmeg Whole Body Debriefer,
Giant Redwoods Kneecap Sensuouscent,
and Pure Prune Face Wrinkle Relaxer.
I am a meadow,
a park,
a pond,
a rain forest,
a woods,
a garden: an olfactory amalgam.
Today, as I ascend to my workstation,
Lulled by the musical elevator ride,
Nature travels with me:
to refresh our hermetically sealed high-rise.
