Renewed Traditions creates individual and unique old fashioned hand woven rag rugs. The weft (crosswise) fabrics are drapery and upholstery grade cottons and cotton blends and are all new materials. The 100% cotton 8/4 ply warp (lengthwise string) are always brown and off-white, applied with outside edge border design.
Standard rug widths range between 24 and 26 inches (determined by the fabric itself). Five basic blends are available; blue, brown, burgundy, green and neutral. The blends will vary according to each batch, but contain the same basic colors. Special orders can request a combination of the standard colors, or completely different blends based on the customer’s request. For specific color combinations, fabric swatches, paint chips, wallpaper samples, etc. supplied by the customer will aid in the matching of colors.
Besides the cotton/cotton blend rugs, wool rugs can be woven upon request.
Rug & Wood Caddy Cleaning Instructions: Cottons and Synthetics: Machine wash in cold water, gentle cycle. Drip dry. Woolens: Handwash with Woolite.
